quacker_ots : I dislike her, too, but it's not always black and white. I'd like to think that it's most likely because Lydia never got the same love from her parents or anyone, so it's hard to recognize or even fathom such a thing. Unconditional love is also very unrealistic, but that's what Lyrica embodies and I love her for that. But for Lydia's perspective, she's very realistic, cut throat, and had no reference whatsoever.

More noteworthy things that happened are:
- Her ex-husband abandoned her after promises of love
- Misery started after giving birth to Lyrica and she had no one to blame (so she blamed the kid. Yes, she's defo a bad mother for that)

While these aren't excuses and what happened in her past life DID happen, I think it's important to understand her perspective and recognize that she's atoning for it now. Wish that every mom was like that.
