All that time fucking and sucking should've been spent trying to talk, to open up bit by bit, to apologise for the PREVIOUS MISDEMEANOR, and know where to go from there together.
In all honestly I also believe he needs to have confrontation with his mother to be able to progress and heal, but if you do it hastily it can damage him forever, even worse than he is in this current moment.
