: I just don't get the hate for the FL, she is literally not doing anything too different from other FL in similar stories. Literally her whole motivation was to be happy after figuring out she was dying and there was a contract made between the both of them this would end in 3 months that the ML sounded like had never any intention of following through with unknown to her. No hate on him just pointing that out. She did end up leading him on because at the point if they are saying I love you she should have thought to talk to him again to make sure the deal is on but what was nice she did acknowledge how much she messed up later and was genuinely remorseful. I think even if this whole story was reversed with the ML going through all this I wouldn't have felt much different because we would have heard his motivation the whole time. This was just a decent read for me, I didn't love it but I liked the story enough. Just doesn't make sense why the FL is so unlikable to people
