: IMO the ending IS a happy ending. The uke deserves someone way better and from the same status. The prince is a spoiled rich privileged brat and out of touch. I believe the author is trying to send a message and she delivered it. The ending was so satisfying and a slap to the brat's face. Rich and powerful people like that don't care about regular people and will use their power for selfish reasons and use US for their own enjoyment and satisfaction, no matter who gets hurt. I hope the side stories don't turn it into a generic happy ending with no lessons learned. Rooting for the uke and for him to find a BETTER person!
