: Young Phil was more shocked and devasted to know she was not the Emperor's daughter, than knowing she was a fake princess. She really did think that he was her father even if she was a fake, she tried to believe in the "father" she referred too. Phil was portrayed as a normal child, as a child, she went to her parent when she felt cornered and went to check things if her "Father" would really kill her... It was basically the Emperor's last chance to be her father (not knowing it) but he instead said cruel world so she would overhear it all, knowing she sick and weak at that.
This memory was was Phil's most painful memory of her childhood, and also the reason why she stopped referring to the emperor as her father. Sad to say, but the Emperor really deserved his ending, a grown man trying to hurt a kid with words is just so...
