: This is so exciting to read. It felt almost real like I was actually watching him. This is one of the times where I dont mind if the MC is OP cus man he felt real. I just enjoy everything.
Also his friend? Man is supportive and I love that he finds comfort in staying with MC like he finally found his way too. Both of them really do support each other and needed it.

: second, CEJ’s character remains stagnant. at first, i loved that he’s a hero who’s only known to shoulder burdens alone. but at this point, it’s just too much. almost 300 chapters in and he still hasn’t improved from his hero complex. it’s POINTLESS at this point, because it just hinders the protocol and teammate and it just puts an emotional strain on LSY who worries tireless over CEJ. he won’t communicate with LSY, he’s not upfront with his feelings, his choices are done with the most bullshit justification, and there’s still no sign of him snapping out of it!!! as a novel reader, it’s so painful because hundreds of chapters were wasted for the sake of prolonging the sub-arcs. the pacing could have been impeccable but no! the disjointed communication between characters and their selfishness just ends up prolonging the scenes, which doesn’t give the story the sense of urgency that you see in stories responding to the apocalypse. am i the only one who feels like this?
so TLDR: am i crazy or did the story fall off at the last arc because the characters are SHIT at communicating, their response is passive, LSY’s character downgraded as a walmart version of hua cheng who couldn’t even do what hua cheng does best, and CEJ still hasn’t improved!
i know i’m gonna get hate for this. because it’s an amazing story, but it’s kind of getting painful to read. and i’m afraid that when the manhwa ends in 2-3 yrs, some readers are also gonna find the flaws i’ve pointed out. hopefully not, but readers who could read would. i just hope that the manhwa adapts the story well enough for it to be tolerable, or enough to make the readers ignore its flaws. it’s doing a good job so far, so i’m hopeful.
