The Teijo Academy
So good, can't wait for more!!!
Acid Town
The mangaka did a fantastic job of intertwining many characters' lives--and what gritty lives they've lived. Love the plot so far and I hope the ending does every character justice, especially for Yuki, who has been hurt the most. *cries*
Hitsuji no Kawa wo Kita Kemono
Daichi's interaction with his soon-to-be brother-in-law is going somewhere perhaps it shouldn't. I'm intrigued to see where their relationship goes and HOW it will get there. Good so far!
Switch
Lately, I've been getting more and more into these type of series, and after reading so many comments (pro and cons), I can honestly say, I still like this story. Even though more backstory on the main characters would be nice, I really like the plot, art, and the character designs. Of course you have to be able to stomach the violence. Sometimes it does feel gratuitous, but then shock value can work wonders. I just don't know--I'm split on this. It really depends on the story, what the author is trying to achieve and how the violence is present. But then somethings are totally unnecessary and uncalled for.
Weak Hero
Now this is where it all started for me (reading manhwa). I wanted to read something completely different, and I have to say, this story is excellent. The characters are unique as is the story. And the art is great! I love Gray Yeon and how he has all these wonderful supporting characters, and how the introductions and backstories switch smoothly back and forth. The only downside is the number of chapters it takes to complete a scene or backstory and the tidbits of repetition--although I get why the author did this, it can be distracting and it can stifle the momentum. My favourites are Gray Yeon, Donald Na, Wolf Keum, and Ben Park. And, sorry. Although I love him, I just can't re-read about Stephen. I cried enough the first time. And I loathe Jimmy Bae. Seriously, he just makes me grit my teeth.
The Bully In-Charge
I love the quirky subtle humour in this, and Kwon Daegun is a cutie. :P
Jinx
Hate to compare but BJ Alex is way better--at least it became apparent early on that Alex had baggage, and that made him somewhat redeemable. But Jaekyung, this guy's over the top disgustingly self-centred and abusive. Not sure about Kim Dan. If he seriously sticks around, I don't know if I can feel any sympathy.
Special Relationship Law
Ah... WTF? There's so much backstabbing, cheating and bullshit, whatever sympathy I had is gone. And the MC is the biggest douche-bag of all. He actually turned out worse than anyone else. Now he wants to kill Sian? Did I read that right?
