5 stars only because there are cats and hot older men in love.

What a fun premise, almost wasted on unnecessary subplots that don't even get a proper resolution. The romance is undeveloped. The relationship and family dynamics should've been centred instead of yada yada Yakuza blah blah Ririko. The story doesn't fully commit to anything and ends up all over the place. I'm obsessed with the cover art though. It's so fun with the blue and orange contrast. kind of pop-art-esque. The occasional coloured panels are so good too. Could've been much much better: 3.5/5. (2022-24).
