I feel like I've read a different story than everyone else. Everyone's focusing on the mother's abuse and ignoring the fact that Satoru is sexually abusing his recluse brother too. Just because he's gentle with it doesn't make it any less abusive, the hikikomori twin has obvious mental delays and we're supposed to accept this as a loving relationship. The twincest trope has fried everyone's brains.
