Paint Love and the Colors Will Bloom
Two college students connect over the fact that they have been hindered from achieving their dreams by bodily limitations. Ryuji, once a promising soccer player, was sidelined by a knee injury in middle school while the aspiring artist Leo found out he is colourblind around the same time. Ryuji and Leo are beautiful I love them. One of the more attractive couples I've seen in manga. I was gawking at them the whole time. I love the message that just because you fail at something you love once doesn't mean that you have to quit. You can always do something tangential and still feel fulfilled. I wish it was explored a little more. Would've been lovely to see them enjoy their passions more. Overall, it's great: 4.5/5. (2023). Spin-off of Everyday, Love Me More (and much better than the main story).
Pink Heart Jam
Kanae is so babygirl coded and relatable. My only gripe with it is that Kanae's reason for doing sex work doesn't make sense to me. A better motive would be that he was simply lonely and wanted to feel desired, which is true. But I suppose that would make him too "slutty" for some readers' taste. I understand why the author played it safe and gave him a pure motive. Giving this a very high score because of how relatable Kanae is to me and to my personality. He is (imo) one of the few well-written selfish bottoms I've seen in BL and I love that for him: 4.75/5. (2020-23).
A Prince in a Luxurious Mansion
A sweet and endearing love story between a broke college student (Kanta Azuma) and his wealthy classmate (Nishijima Touji). Nishijima graciously offers a vacant room for Kanta to stay when the latter loses his place to demolition. Nishijima gradually learns to become more self-reliant as he slowly falls in love with his new roommate. Domestic bliss: 5/5.
