Shangri La no Tori
One of the best buildups I’ve ever seen, holy shit. Really compelling.
ENNEAD
It’s really good, like, a solid compelling story! If you read a Cruel God Reigns, I think you’d enjoy this story as well, as it untwined a similarly dark family dynamic into the story. And of course, both of them have dubious consent couples, because why don’t they! But honestly, read it for the drama. The lives of gods are certainly interesting… Update: Now that I’ve paid closer attention…the author REALLY has it out for Seth. God, I hate him, but I also feel bad for him, because everyone’s out here with a boner for him. Update 2: So, those scenes... It was a bit too much for me. I'll hold off on it till later. I think the family plot's still interesting, but, lord, I could *not* handle that gangbang scene. Paired with what Zeus did in season 2...I get it, Seth's an ass, but he's becoming a better god, albeit real slowly. After Season 2, I've unfortunately become emotionally invested in his ratty ass 3 --- MATURE! Really great familial conflict. Everyone was incredibly compelling and multi-faceted. Really reminded me of A Cruel God Reigns, especially the dynamics with certain…characters. With that in mind, watch out for warnings, it gets pretty explicit. Romance is pretty interesting, although not entirely healthy. (Jeremy/Ian vibes) But it’s not treated that way, which is fine by me. They’re also divine related, uncle and nephew, but they’re gods, they’re all rel --- WILL MOVE FROM LIST === [ Quietly Infatuated x A…lot of issues ] —Interesting that I have two uncle-nephew relationships on this list. That aside, not only does Mojito provide an interesting twist to the Egyptian mythos, she allocates a lot of care into the dynamics of the gods, especially in regards to the ENNEAD quartet, it hits you when you don’t expect it, but like a passing wave, you can easily get swept in. — (S1) My god, did this give of A Cruel God Reigns energy. From the relationship between MC and ML, to the root of familial conflict? Honestly slaps. I’m ready for those Osiris/Greg parallels because here we go! Seriously, go in it for those character dynamics. I won’t spoil, but it’s great, albeit long. 14 09,2021

Jinx
I guess I’ll read it. Edit: ML's evil sexy schtick is so overbearing that it circles into absurd territory. Just look at his goofy-ass smirk. Look at it.
Dear Sister, I've Become a Blessed Maiden
ML, this motherfucker, is too smug for his own good. Also an asshole, but at least he’s hot?? But he’s such an asshole! God damn, I think I get it, but that doesn’t stop me from getting upset. Even if it’s temporary, I’m just glad that MC has enough a spine to leave this dude, because good grief. Praying for some character development… …And we get it! Woohoo! The dynamic’s much sweeter now, and I can only hope I may be able to enjoy the rest of this ride.
Yarichin ☆ Bitch Club
Been almost a year, but cool, chapter 23. I read this manga not expecting much a year ago, and what I've ultimately concluded is that it's just your run-of-the-mill "slice-of-life school" kind of manga with a quirky twist--except the twist here is that the MC's accidentally gotten himself involved in a gay sex club. The guys are aiming for his virginity, but really, the only person who stands a chance is his black-haired classmate friend, who also got roped into this mess. And unfortunately, he's also got a cousin(?) who festers a likely unrequited love for him (2nd ML Syndrome, I suppose), but it doesn't really matter right now because he ain't really doing anything in response to anyone's advances. Honestly, it's pretty cute. Other notes: If I were to describe this manga in a single phrase, I would say that it's "YAOI, but camp." An absurdly ridiculous premise, but once you get over it, it's a fine, albeit slightly weird, slice-of-life manga with a bit of heart. I've grown to like the other characters in lieu of their subplots, but I still can't help but LOATHE Yuri (the pink-haired dude with the shades?), because he genuinely terrifies me. Like yes, I get he's a messed up dude, but he's freaky. Can't stand him. Anyway, manga's surprisingly ain't bad. Just don't take the core premise too seriously and you'll be (mostly) fine.
Help Me, Teacher
Threesome situation between a late-bloomer omega and two alphas. The alphas basically try to one-up each other when it comes to "ownership" over him, only for it to eventually dissolve into a sharing situation. It's fun; all the characters have chemistry with each other, even though the alphas aren't involved with each other.
Sajou Rihito no Chichi to Sono Buka
Oh my god, I'm a big fan. Found personality clash interesting---representation of "old" and "new" generation, muddled with romantic feelings. Good, felt uncertainty from the blond dude, bold character used to living as gay in society that's moving towards increased right towards homosexual, yet at its current state holds people who remain prejudiced (especially among older generation). His crush on the dad feels emblematic of...something, not sure what. Big fan of older, tired guys in BL + fan of the coworker, too. Both provide their own distinct perspective and I find their personalities interesting.
