Memeshii Aku to Azatoi Suh
Prequel/first in the series created by this author. Dude who's open to sex with basically anybody gets trapped with a naive stalker. They're both kind of irritating, but they work with each other.
Tell Me You Can Hear It
Dude who's trained himself to mask his thoughts meets a mind reader. Class president's into beautiful things, and unfortunately, mind reader's as beautiful as it gets. The idol gimmick got dropped pretty quickly, which was a shame. I liked how his mind reading was able to be controlled. It was interesting to hear how he had used it because he wanted everyone to like him. I appreciate the ending message of allowing oneself to be more open with communicating. I'm sure it's a common theme among series featuring a mind reader, but I think it was done fine here. It was cute.
Kagakubu no Megane
Fave. Strong panelling, great establishment of tone. Really awkward, but really suited exploration of adolescense thing going on here
Ookami-sama no Koiwazurai
I remember liking this one, oddly enough. i think it was cute.
Seven Days
Feels oddly dated, but it holds its charm. It's a simple(ish) concept, but it's done well. Super pretty.
Nagi-kun and Hayasaki-kun
Erotic? Certainly a lot of sexual tension—main appeal’s the sort of push-and-pull thing they’ve got going on. Of course, MC’s pulled in eventually.
Survive Romance
lives rent free in my brain right now. love the concept, and execution's going pretty good right now! ON HOLD
Usagi no Mori
Interesting. Childhood friends get together, even though the love's unrequited. Pushing and prodding from the one with unrequited feelings leads into...something else, pertaining to the other guy---psychological trauma, Oedipus Complex-esque. It's a strange back-and-forth; things progress, but their feelings remain about the same. Feels like we're watching two sides, waiting for the moment where one of them collapses into the other. I liked the side dude. He reminds me of another character, but he's still interesting. --- Notes for myself below. - No sexual urges. First-glance, Problematic asexuality trope => Oedipus Problem(?) => Sex Repression/Repulsion
Kanshaku Dama no Love Song
Just been skimming through different series, so I might pick this up later. - Dude was pining for his childhood friend. Said friend declared that he wouldn't mind dating guys. This bursts a dam of some kind and dude ends up confessing. -
