Man pines after a friend who gets married. He gets together with a bartender to cope. Turns out, the friend likes him back. --- Will plan to read more of later. I will say that some were disappointed that the main character didn't stay with the bar tender. Understandable. Doesn't seem to be that sort of story. Would be nice to read, though.

As of Season 1 End (34). I practically binge-read this series. It's pretty good! I'd say the highlights was the relationship development and the backstories; I like how the sexual tension between the romantic pair developed overtime (I'm especially a sucker for the kissing as "practice" trope, very ToddWallace-esque), and I appreciate how the author had introduced Andrew's backstory over the course of the season, rather than in a big info-dump. I found the characters fun. Luke gets a bit annoying at times, but he's overall endearing (just a silly, slightly zany dude!), and the supporting cast is a good time. Andrew's the "enigma" character, a bit serious, a bit mysterious in an attractive way, but he has the backstory to explain why he is the way he is currently. It's the end of season one, but things have only really just begun. We've still got Luke still fighting his director, Andrew and his Tragic Backstory, whatever their relationship's going to be, and the way things are seemingly connecting together. Looks like things are hapepning but we're left on a cliff-hanger, LMAO. idrc, I'm still having an overall good time so far.

Love the concept. MC's adorable. Yokai With Horror Elements is a "hell yes" from me. Chapters have a slight "slice-of-life" kind of vibe. Not much in terms of the overall plot yet, but the author's sewn in the initial seeds; color me intrigued! Can't wait to figure out more about not only the contract but also whatever's going on with the old guy. Only up to Chapter 5 right now. Can't wait for the rest.

ch 67 Manga’s a bitch to the heart! Literally been angst the whole way through but it’s! Just! So! Good! I absolutely love the additional commentary about teaching, depression, and sexuality, to name a few. Author says they’ve done interviews with teachers on teaching life, and it really shows in the work. Since this is BL, of course there’s sex, but there’s also interesting commentary on these different contemporary topics.

One of the best buildups I’ve ever seen, holy shit. Really compelling.

I guess I’ll read it. Edit: ML's evil sexy schtick is so overbearing that it circles into absurd territory. Just look at his goofy-ass smirk. Look at it.

ML, this motherfucker, is too smug for his own good. Also an asshole, but at least he’s hot?? But he’s such an asshole! God damn, I think I get it, but that doesn’t stop me from getting upset. Even if it’s temporary, I’m just glad that MC has enough a spine to leave this dude, because good grief. Praying for some character development… …And we get it! Woohoo! The dynamic’s much sweeter now, and I can only hope I may be able to enjoy the rest of this ride.

Oh my god, I'm a big fan. Found personality clash interesting---representation of "old" and "new" generation, muddled with romantic feelings. Good, felt uncertainty from the blond dude, bold character used to living as gay in society that's moving towards increased right towards homosexual, yet at its current state holds people who remain prejudiced (especially among older generation). His crush on the dad feels emblematic of...something, not sure what. Big fan of older, tired guys in BL + fan of the coworker, too. Both provide their own distinct perspective and I find their personalities interesting.

Prequel/first in the series created by this author. Dude who's open to sex with basically anybody gets trapped with a naive stalker. They're both kind of irritating, but they work with each other.
