Love Me Doctor!
Private Life of a Single Doctor
Dr. Koto Shinryoujo
This series ended at 25 volumes (though, inconclusively) so it’ll probably be another 5 years for the translations to finish up. I’m surprised this even got picked up despite it’s age. An alright read. I like Mr Hara and his son. I’m still shocked *that* character actually died after all the impossible surgeries up until that point.
Dr. Prisoner
This series is completed at 4 volumes, so it’s sad that’s been over a year since the last translation update. Only translated up to vol 3 at this point. Edit: Ok I actually finished reading it. It’s a decent read. The antagonists are pretty flat and comically “evil”, and methods that the MC tends to use on his patients can be considered that way as well. The assisting doctor just felt like she she existed. She’s like a novice in her work, and most of the time just watches the MC due to inexperience and past trauma (malpractice). She even had a senior doctor who mentored and covered for her that I wish was mentioned briefly earlier instead it being suddenly a chapter. She also doesn’t seem to put a lot of thought before acting so that can be annoying. I do like the second assisting doctor more despite being less present since she’s more capable. The MC is fine. Again, like most of the characters, he’s pretty flat too - lives for performing surgeries and sorta has a soft side? Idk after reading 3 volumes of this
