4.5 stars Very painful in a good way. Both characters had shit childhoods that affected their willingness to risk it all to be in a gay relationship. Beautiful message about taking the "right" path in life.

MC in love with his childhood bestie/neighbor. Resigned to stand by while he gets dates and marries until ML suddenly confesses that he'd be fine dating men. MC confesses out of anger. I would have given this a two-star since the plot could have been better. The whole "I confessed but now that we're dating, all my insecurities about him liking me are destroying our relationship" trope dragged on for too long. Plus I think the story could have been cut down a lot shorter. There are parts that just went on for too long, or the dialogue was just too long it took up way more space than it needed to. But the drawings are so pretty, and I love the character designs, and the characters themselves, outside of when they were interacting in their dating relationship, are very cute and very nice. It just felt like the character designs were wasted on the weak plot.

ch45 beta turns into an omega. hooks up with his alpha childhood friend Ch 3 TRIGGER WARNING: rape Seme was raped by an adult omega when he was younger (looks like a junior high uniform ). He's traumatized by it, especially omega pheromones since she used hers to lure him.

Interesting premise but bad execution, especially towards the end. Seme and uke lived in the same apartment as kids & seme often stayed with uke as an agreement between the 2 mothers to keep seme away from his abusive dad. Seme became very dependent on uke (throwing away his babysitting allowance so uke won't leave the house, threatening to tell uke's mom about his bf) while uke grew tired and weary of his as he wanted to go out and hang with his bf. One day, knowing that seme's dad was home, uke told seme to go play a game at seme's whose while he invited his bf over. Before they could have sex, the hear seme and see that seme's dad has beaten him and has him over the balcony. Seme's dad is arrested and seme reveals uke's sexuality to the 2 moms. Seme moves away to live with his uncle. Years later they are reunited. Uke now enjoys dangerous BDSM play as a way to deal with his guilt over what happened. His current partner invites seme to join them (I have no idea why) and then seme and uke continue seeing each other. Seme seems to have a plan to use uke to do something to get his dad (about to be released from prison) back in prison???? But the translations from like ch10 onward are so subpar who knows what's actually happening lol. Yo a million things happened in the last chapter lol. I guess the author just wanted to finish it and just shoved a bunch of exposition in there. You can tell they were over this story lol so I don't even know why they gave us a measly 2 chapter side story to set up the MC's ex-abuser/fuck buddy with another masochist uke.

Ch7 Uke has difficulty demanding for what he deserves in relationships :(
