ch8 kinda boring and predictable

Volume 1: 3 stars The baby is adorable and so funny. He's the star of the show! This would be a 1.5 star if there were no baby lol. But the seme is too sus to like. First of all he meets and starts falling for the uke when the uke is only in junior high school. It's really ICK cuz there's about a ten year age gap between them so he must have been 23 years old or older which is too gross to be falling for basically a kid. Second of all, he was in love with uke's uncle (his long time bff) so there has to be some residual affection influencing the way he feels about uke. And the way he interacts with uke in general just gives major creeper vibes - at the very least he feels like he knows more than the uke and that really makes uke seem powerless in their relationship. Also, if my close childhood friend started dating my freshly 18 niece/nephew, I wouldn't have a friend no more :D

Ch2 Straight neet tricks a closeted guy into being his platonic sugar daddy but then starts catching jealous boyfriend feelings lol.

Ch3

A really sweet and real story about a gay couple with a 10 year age gap. Each chapter gives us a glimpse into their lives every decade that they're together. We follow along as they navigate a gay relationship in a conservative country and reaffirm their love for each other as they age. Nothing bad really happens but that impending sense of doom as they get older and older just made me feel awful and I was in tears by the last chapter. Even a love so strong is finite and that's devastating :'( This is a subject that you don't really see in romance at all.

Cute but too short

Sex scenes were hot despite how awkward some of the drawings were during those scenes lol. I'm conflicted about the abusive X essentially not getting punished at the end. Like, it is established that he purposely targets smaller guys so he can be rough with them and abuse them during sex, even strangling them to the point of passing out. And this is casual sex, not even the domestic abuse he inflicted on the uke. But then because he has a daughter whom he can lose custody of, the uke decides not to press charges and he just gets away with a morning that everything will be revealed if he decides to approach the uke again. I get it but I'm not happy about it LOL. Like his daughter probably should not have to go through the confusion and humiliation of learning that her dad is a piece of shit but her dad is a piece of shit and it shouldn't be hidden from her.
