Ore no Oniku-chan
idk what even to say, this is such a mess and i read it out of morbid curiosity, but i guess this wasnt the absolute worst thing ive ever read. this sounds so harsh but i mean its a manga about how fat people suck and its shocking that anyone would like them so.
Motomete Yamanai
the intention here was clearly to write an autistic character.. while the author went for a bit of a stereotypical route, the love interest was not treated by a child, and the protagonist is implied to have neurodivergencies of his own that go beyond simple trauma, given his choices. an interesting give and take, and plenty of endearing moments, but again.. it was a bit stereotypical, and that drags on it

Spring Snow (Odongtong) Webtoon
Zettai BL ni Naru Sekai VS Zettai BL ni Naritakunai Otoko
really fucking funny. but uh, warning for the transphobic chapter, youll know it when you see it. glad to see the mc is starting to get pushed out of his comfort zone, what the author does with this will show whether the manga has further potential beyond the initial jokes
The Keystone Romantic Combination
im a sports manga fan so. yeah i should love this shit. the intrigue of a difficult situation that can only come from this setting. but then the possessiveness starts to get not so cute given this is a "wholesome romcom", and i feel like the love interest really needs to get a life of his own and stop exclusively idolizing the protagonist. the use of jaejin as a mirror for the protagonist is very interesting because its either showing that a lot of what the love interest has done already is manipulative, or excusing what hes done because at least he wasnt That Bad. guess well have to see.
Sun's Blood
im not really the intended audience for this. i mean, at best it has constant sexy dubcon scenes. youre probably wondering why i gave it four stars, then, which is that it has a weirdly affirmative narrative around the protagonist experiencing this, an amazing plot, great art, thoughtful themes, actually has black characters?? in a lot of priest/demon literature, the priest is corrupted, but thats not what happens here. the priest retains his values, and no amount of temptation changes him significantly. he already frankly wasnt a great fit for the church, but he honestly made the best of it. and what a fucking cool and intense love interest... when the protagonist saw him pretending to only care about money and got angry, it really solidified who he is. the side romance is a little rushed, and the childhood timeline is a little confusing, but i cant bring myself to care when the main story has me this invested, lol.
