Itoshi no Makura-chan
Ugh they’re both so stupid. Misunderstandings… The MC is especially dense. But it somehow works? They really love each other, and this is fluffy. Got to know some new things about local idols, which is cool. Mostly funny, decent read. Smut is good. Ex kinda ruins it
Sankaku Twilight
Really cute! Nontoxic relationship. Nothing groundbreaking. Wataru really got on my nerves like bro manipulates Miki’s feelings and confesses only AFTER he’s moved on?? Red flag. Aside from him, the story is pretty fluffy and basic. Decent read.
Family, Now and Forever
This was great!! I loved how lowkey and realistic it was. The plot isn’t the most developed, but I think that’s kind of the point. You see the two leads and their child living as a family and going about their day to day lives. I rly like like the idea that they are “meant for each other,” that they are each other’s home, and are full of love. anyway, sobbing
Girl meets Rock!
Itsuka koi ni naru made
Felt mostly like I was reading about horny teenagers, which the leads are. Once you get past that, it’s not horrible. I really love the childhood friends to lovers trope, so this is ofc right up my alley. Along with the puppy love fluff, I also appreciated the realism surrounding their relationship, how they should navigate life together, and so on. It’s a typical coming of age story, but it’s executed fairly well. Good read. And the art is so gorgeous!
Yuutousei wa Osore Shirazu
Fluffy (and smutty) after story! There’s def potential for something more, but I liked this with its school life elements.
Daiji ni Suru Kara Tabete Ii
Cute, fluffy story. I do wish there was more of the ML’s backstory, but this is a straightforward, light read. Ngl this is pretty mid, but maybe it’s because of this author (whose works I do love) that people are going gaga over it.
Fukigen na Doudou
Ughh this is so cute! Just pure fluff and wholesomeness. Def needed this after all the angsty stuff I’ve been reading. Huge dopamine boost to borrow the words of another reader hehe
Play After Call
Loveee the beautiful, flowy art! This explores relatable struggles of youth, portraying the conflict with first love and one’s identity. I also really liked how this manga illustrates the leads exploring their sexuality, adding another layer of relatability. I lovee how the dom/sub dynamics are portrayed here. Good mix of the commands as well as praise! Besides that the romance feels very natural and healthy. I desperately need more of them! The only problem is that this was too short, meaning thee characters lack a little depth.
Idol-kun wa Abakaretai
