Limited Run
i tried to like this. I really did, but it’s hard when the leads are stupid and the fact that irrational decisions/misunderstandings are what move the plot. How am I supposed to like their melodrama of a love story when I don’t like either of them? why did the author have to make the MC such a pushover with his “unrequited” love crap? the ML is a jerk for more than half the span of the manhwa. The ML is supposedly 32, but he acts half his age. Plus, writing is so ass like why tf was the first rape scene just glossed over. In chapter 58, the ML rapes the MC after he was SAed (he didn’t know, but that doesn’t excuse it one bit). the art has to be the only redeeming quality of this manhwa. this genuinely sucks ass. i don’t understand the hype at all
Kaichou, Ii Ko wa Mou Owari
This is like the plot of sm other BLs I’ve read, but I eat it up every time! It’s cliché, but cute. Classic miscommunication trope. The art is pretty good. Decent and pleasant read. Sometimes, there has to be stories like these. Especially with CONSENT and a healthy relationship. One thing this story did particularly was the leads’ transition from students to working adults. Pretty relatable but also adding that sense of realism 9
Not My Blood
Okay, this is actually super good! I adore the plain (?) and semi-realistic art style. I loveee the lighting and everything. Their dynamic feels so uncontrived and natural! No drawn out misunderstandings. For one, they communicate healthily and ASK each other what they’re wondering *sobs*. The world building is pretty interesting even thought the story itself is kind of short. The leads are refreshingly honest with each other, and I love how one can tell they care about each other in the best ways. The smut wasn’t overdone. I totally thought the blond guy would be the second ML because he’s so hot, but nope lol. He can be mine it’s okk. The side couple was toxic af and SPOILER: i’m glad pinky cut the jerk vampire off. i didn’t like how it hinted at smth romantic tho like bro is a pos.
You ordered a naughty honor student?
Bro what was that ending… This is a really cute manga, but all the buildup felt a little wasted. I was waiting for a heart wrenching confession lol. Aside from that, this is just your typical story. You have the playboy MC’s (top) side story. The ML almost gets raped, and the MC saves him yada yada. This is just a really bland and boring read. The premise itself isn’t bad, but the execution isn’t anything special. 6
Unmei no Tsugai ga Omae da Nante
V2 C4 Very funny. I think this illustrates the omega x alpha relationship quite well. I like the “enemies” to lovers trope, but this is also pretty typical in that the leads succumb to their bodily instincts. Or is that actually the case? Interesting question to wonder about, but I liked how they realized they liked each other. I guess love doesn’t always need a reason. Also, why does the MC look so much like Denji….
Guiding Hazard
So darn good, and I haven’t read much of it yet. The art is literally to die for, and the chemistry the leads have with each other… Insane. Plus, the MC (Eunsung, also the top) isn’t a freaking rapist and actually has decent character. ML Taegun) seems cool, too, and I like this push and pull dynamic. Both of them are intricate, complex characters with their own trauma. I love it! Well balanced plot with steamy moments
Ookami-kun wa Yuzuranai
This volume really delivered with the fluff and picturesque future for the main characters. So cute! I did enjoy this. That aside, I also have to say this volume disappointed me. Most of the story is just side couple mumbo jumbo. A side character is introduced to cause strife for the main couple, but oh wait, he’s just a set-up for another side couple. I wanted more adulting, youth, growth… But there was only a very small portion of that. The rest of the manga is just sex, sex, and more sex. Then, a magical time skip, and wow, pregnancy! I wish the mangaka had stuck to just one theme. It feels like they tried to cram too much into this one volume. This story isn’t meant to be that deep, but still… It’s a bit sad that I couldn’t engage with this on a deeper level. This is a bit of a personal qualm, but I just cannot wrap my head around hybrid wolf-rabbit babies lol.
Yasaotoko to Sadistic
Eh, this was alright. The ending was lackluster, but maybe that was the overall vibe the author was going for. Things vaguely get resolved, but it’s nothing satisfying. The ML, glasses guy, one who was bullied, accepts the MC’s feelings. Their dynamic is definitely an interesting one. The stalker MC just keeps jutting into the ML’s life until it’s natural. Weird but surprisingly not toxic.
