Gyaru Otoko-kun! Hentai Onii-san to Ecchi ni Asobou
The story is definitely nonsensical.. Like the ML is a weirdo and perverts and all, but they’re both idiots whipped for each other. Pretty funny, yet wholesome. Short and cute.
Yurufuwa-kun Niwa Wake ga Aru
This story was kind of crappy… Rushed story and even the plot twist couldn’t save it. Most of the character development was shoved into the last chapter. The author wanted this to be a fluffy high school romance but it didn’t score high enough in either category. Not fluffy enough, not quite romantic enough. I see what the author was aiming for, but the execution was terrible. p.s.: the ml was a manipulative little turd
My Assistant BF
i loved this! it’s a chinese manhua in a manga format, haha. anyway, wu shi is just goals… great spin-off and i usually don’t like spin-offs. characters are well developed. sweet, simple story!
Aiharakunto Kashimakunha Rabukome Kamoshirenai
HELP. Misunderstandings galore, but I’ll forgive it since this is a rom com. They’re so cute, but they’re such idiots it’s a little hard to read. “Unrequited love” my arse. I love their bickering; this is my fave type of dynamic.
Tomodachi engagement
Another manga in scroll format. I LIKE THIS SM BUT they should just confess already ughhh. i love the childhood friends trope and the straightforward/dense ML just takes the cake. i genuinely love their dynamic. it’s domestic, and it feels very natural. classic childhood friends trope! i find the way their romance blossomed quite touching (hayato finally confessing his feelings for jin). like i WANT that. ngl the mc kinda frustrates me but i get where he’s coming from. THEY SHOULD JUST BE HONEST!! the drama is little out there and unrealistic… this is honestly a little cliché but it’s an enjoyable, spicy (ofc) read. i love this author’s art work!
Ameagari no Bokura ni Tsuite
I loved the characters. They each had their own issues, but they dealt with it together. I desperately need more volumes, though… It kinda of felt short lived, but there are untranslated sequels to this! Like I needed more closer on Mashiro’s mother (her narcissism and all) and more of the main couple’s life together. This was so sweet. I loved the style of art, which protrayed the characters painfully realistically. Their story wasn’t a fantasy or anything, just a normal part of their lives. 10/10 would read again
Imitation Play
The art is to die for… They’re so pretty *sobs* Anyway, I quite like the ML and his vibes. Though he does seem a bit eccentric. Nothing like a good unrequited love story. I hope this plays out a teensy bit different from what I expect and that it’s not full of clichés, though. Update: So it played out like how I expected… But I liked it! The confession scene was *chef’s kiss* And I appreciate the art very much. 5
Hachi/Ritsu
Okay this was so cute like?? Cliché but cute. Kinda appreciated the nonbinary character but they were weird to me. A little annoying. ‘Course we had to have an unnecessary side couple. I get how the ML can come off as annoying since he was so spontaneous but despite the number of chapters, I didn’t feel as emotionally connected as I thought. It was a good read, though. I loved the established relationship ship fluff, but the drama with the ML was just no… The ending could’ve been better, but I liked this.
Lemon Soda Flavor Kiss
ughhh this is so cute! and i also love how rio is actually communicating to the ML. update: finished it and it was pretty cute! it was a little over the top with the drama and kinds cliché but it’s a decent read
