why aren’t more people reading this? this is rly rly good surprisingly! reminds me of capeta. the pacing for the timeskip felt a bit awkward to me though. anyway, the mc’s relatively unique (?) i like him even w/ his obsession with mobile suit gundam lmao. his innate talents are his insanely good memory/cognitive thinking and his ability to kind of copy what he sees. I thought this would be pretty generic at the start because of the obvious romance subplot (and fan service…), but I like the direction the author writes the FL in. She’s a great racer and won’t let setbacks get in the way of her dreams. This manga’s selling point is definitely the racing action, which kept me hooked! The characters could benefit from more development at the point in time, but I recommend!! Would love more chaps *sobs*
Tiempo
pretty promising! hope it gets updated. would rly like to see the mc’s growth! def a solid soccer manga but not sure i like the whole underdog becomes a dark horse trope here
Tetsunaki no Kirinji
Bro I read all 55 chapters of this and I feel scammed… It’s over just like that? I don’t think everything really got resolved. Even the fight with the doctor guy. Honestly just feels unfinished. I did like how it was about mahjong and the underlying themes of family. Wouldn’t read this unless you’re desperate for mahjong action. This just left me unsatisfied.
Kenrantaru Grande Scène
This is one of the best, if not the best, manga about ballet I’ve ever read. I regret not reading this sooner because I was put off by that romance tag… The MC’s actually extremely career driven and works hard to her dreams!! Not so much romance (as of yet). Inspiring story. I love her fiery, headstrong character and her generally bright approach to problems. I find that a majority of the side characters’ backstories are very compelling. They don’t feel one dimensional at all as they all march toward their respective paths. It’s honestly kind of rare to find female characters that are written so independently. The art is so easy on the eyes that I think it does a seriously great job at expressing the beauty of ballet. It also stands its ground as an exciting sports manga. Can’t wait for more chapters!!
Diamond No Kouzai
ooh i am so getting ace of diamond vibes… which i don’t mind at all ‘cause i freaking love DnA. i see potential and i hope in the future this manga lives up to it!! update:so i really like this manga! it’s heavy on he mental aspect of the mc. he has a soft heart. he’s just a monster like he’s insane at pitching. he blames himself for others losing their opportunities
Rugby Rumble
16 seems rly good! love the funny mc and the friendships. it’s a light, enjoyable read. love the other characters as well
Mononofu
Really liked this even though it was relatively short! Reminded me of Tsurune in that it’s not just focused on the action (aka the actual game of shogi) but on character growth, youth, and friendship. Of course, the characters playing shogi was very thrilling. It felt as though I was introduced to an entirely different world. Due to the short span of this manga, the pacing was kind of fast (?), but I personally didn’t mind. Not sure if it ends here but yea 31
Green Green Greens
This is really good! I see the potential and it reads like a good sports manga. Hope this doesn’t suffer the same fate as Robot x Laserbeam. Want to read more!
Top Corner
I think this is a fairly good sports manga. ofc it can’t be compared to the likes of ao ashi, but it stands well on its own as a soccer manhwa. i like how this is mostly about the sports/action aspect, but because of that, the character backstories kind of seem like an afterthought. save for a select few of the main cast they all kind of seem superficial. i would love to see the MC use his calculation abilities to the fullest extent
