I Returned as an FFF-Class Witch Doctor
Better than I thought it would be. I like that he's an actual "witch doctor," meaning we get to see him do voodoo stuff. His appearance fits the bill, too. He just doesn't give a flying rock about anything. He bulldozes through fights and stuff with his powers. He does have a few cheats, but that's how protags always are. I like that he's not purely revenge driven, too. The game provides action and a smidge of mystery regarding the reason behind his regression and all that. Plus, it's funny and has great (meme-worthy) art. Streamer MC is okay.
F-Class Destiny Hunter
Tad bit cliché and frustrating to read, but it's all justified story-wise. The art's great (almost a given). The MC is a tsundere, haha. A lot of the "villains" serve as cannon fodder. They exist to be pummeled by the MC. The MC's growth was spontaneous at the start but it settled into your typical rate of an OP MC. So far, what sets this apart from other comics of the same genre are the characters. The primary ones are a part of the MC's "family." They are also his weakness, but I didn't have to tell you that. Cliché yet not the worst.
Leveling Up With Skills
I wasn't very moved by the first chapter, but as I kept reading, I found that the story wasn't half bad. The story had a different approach compared to others of the same genre. I liked how it was so different to the typical toss-all-the-world-building-into-the-first-chapter kind of business. We actually got to see a glimpse of the characters' motives before the MC regressed into the past. There exists an intriguing sense of mystery and thrill as of course this is mainly about survival. The female lead feels like an actual person, and I personally like how the MC isn't just your "cold and indifferent" protag. He takes the initiative to help others. Liking the action and the story so far.
Academy’s Genius Swordmaster
16 pretty interesting? the premise is relatively different, and i like where this is going..
I Picked A Hammer To Save The World
This is really good, but it’s also really slow. The characters are pretty good, I like how the MC has distinct character. He’s not the brightest, but he’s still strong. It’s also interesting as the MC weilds a hammer rather than your typical sword. I also like the action. Story set-up is kinda basic, but I’d like to know where the author takes this.
Steel-Eating Player
Eh pretty good. I like the MC's ability. Haven't really seen anything alike. This is another one of those dungeon manhwa combined with the military. So far, everything's a little surface level. He keeps talking about his trauma, his past comrades, getting all wistful about it, but I don’t feel anything ngl. No heartstrings tugged.
Second Time of Dawn
I’m sorry, but the plot is dumb, and the MC is dumb. I gave this a try because the time travel plot seemed interesting, but this back and forth between Yihan and Jinwoon is just so nonsensical? The MC is so wishy washy; I’m not convinced the author even wants the reader to like him. WHY WOULD HE PUT JINWOON IN THE CLOSET… AGAIN?! This is one of those trashy love triangles where you’re only reading to see whose endgame. So far, it seemed like black haired ML is the one. Anyway, reading this is very frustrating, and there is a lot to be desired. I would probably like this more if their characters/translation were more fleshed out. It’s a classic, dramatic, and generic plot. The MC feels he has to be with Yihan out of obligation, but he somehow, without rhyme or reason, gets entangled with Jinwoon. Great.
