Doukyonin ga Fuantei Deshite
Very funny and entertaining read! I liked the mundaneness of it all. Just them living their lives. Fuantei is such a relatable character with her asocial-ness, and Shikkari balances it out. Them both being otakus adds another layer of relatable comedy.
Yoake no Joshou
I came for the cover (Arun is so fracking hawt), but the first couple wasn’t that bad! I liked how it was actually mutual love all along, and it showed us their relationship as adults. Very wholesome and sweet. Also realistic! I appreciated how the author included their fears of being rejected as a gay couple. Kiichi’s brother’s love story was also pretty sweet. Loved their dynamic. Anyway, this taught me I need more Indian rep in BL!
Mamotte Agetai Sawatari-san
This manga is literally so funny. I love how their dynamic even before getting into a relationship was quite close? Bordering on queer platonic, but you can feel the tension so palpably! I am simply a whore for this kind of stuff. anyway, this was such a funny read? loved their dynamic and their circle of friends! the angst didn’t really angst, but i didn’t mind tbh. so fluffy. i can never get enough of the unlucky x lucky trope. don’t have anything bad to say about this really. i enjoyed this sm ^^
You Dirty, Sweaty Boy
Simple but cute. Lots of sweat fetish lol. The ML is def a freak… The ending was surprisingly wholesome. The characters aren’t that developed, but I think this is just meant to be a light read, obviously centering around a sweat fetish.
The Boundary of Fragrance
i actually like this even tho it’s alpha x omega. the author managed to make the pairing interesting. i like their version of omegaverse. refreshing. comedy is funny and the storytelling is immersive and dramatic
Literature Boy
7/10 Very realistic, relatable manhwa. You can really connect to the two leads and identify with their struggles. From that standpoint, it’s well written. As a romance, this is pretty lacking. It feels like we’re being told that the leads are romantic, they’re this or that, etc, but I don’t think the author sufficiently expresses their supposed chemistry. Like the leads’ relationship, the story also feels unstable with the constant switching back and forth from the present to the past. It’s not the worst execution I’ve seen. I personally DESPISED the second couple like you will never convince to feed into the teacher x high schooler bull. They were just unneeded. This story gave me mixed emotions and had a bland aftertaste. Ending is also kind of abrupt and offered no resolution to Sunwoo’s major plagiarism conflict. I sound harsh, but it’s ultimately because I think this could’ve been so much more than it is.
Romance, But Not Romantic
