22 I really like this! The setting is immediately what drew me in. In a world where there’s magic, I usually expect some sort of medieval backdrop, but this surprisingly is more modern. Maybe mid 1900s-ish I’m not quite sure. I love the desaturated yet warm art style, too. Mature lead characters are always my jam! Kind of reminds me of “Turning” a little.

At first, i was hesitant to read this, but it’s pretty good! Her skill is unique and OP, and I don’t mind the romance. it’s nice that the ML has some melanin. i’m considering reading the novel! 47

37 interesting themes. desire, possessiveness….i always find it intriguing how an author handles the alpha x alpha relationship, and it seems like in this universe, it’s still about domination, aggression, etc.
