Papa Sex Caramelized

Ongoing | keri kusabi | 2019 released

Kurisu has his hands full with his job as an editor and his beloved daughter. When he starts going to a sweets store, Kurisu encounters the good-looking, Niina. Review: This manga has been an emotional roller coaster so far. The art is spectacular, and I’m really liking the plot so far. Their relationship is still developing. I really enjoyed watching the chapter development, especially in the main character, Kurisu. He obviously cares for and loves his daughter, Honami, a lot. He faces something that can be considered borderline internalized homophobia. He thinks of himself as a nuisance and has low self esteem. I feel that many can relate to his feelings, especially those in the LGBTQIA+ community. I am interested in as to how Kurisu will overcome his inner struggles and what role Niina might play in it. This manga has showcased a mass amount of potential. Here’s a warning!! This manga contains mature content that is not suitable for all audiences. If you’re not one for that, then this comic may not be for you! Comment: We stan a daughter who is supporting and accepting of homosexuality. (´꒳`) Side note: Left off on chapter 5.

Futari de Papa Hajimemashita

Complete | NIGARI Shio | 2000 released

Relatively simple (and maybe a little cliché) plot and storytelling, but it works! I, for one, loved the tension between them even before the confession… Got me kicking my feet in the art like it's a shoujo manga. ANYWAY, this was incredibly sweet and fluffy. I always appreciate manga with themes of found family. I loved how the author dealt with the characters dealing with homophobia (e.g. the ML (Yuki, bottom)) reading that letter from his mom finally accepting him for who he is). The art was delicious! All in all, pretty good read.

Family, Now and Forever

Ongoing | Hakase | 2019 released

This was great!! I loved how lowkey and realistic it was. The plot isn’t the most developed, but I think that’s kind of the point. You see the two leads and their child living as a family and going about their day to day lives. I rly like like the idea that they are “meant for each other,” that they are each other’s home, and are full of love. anyway, sobbing
