Tokyo Ghoul

Complete | ISHIDA Sui | 2000 released

Review: This manga is highly exceptional. The storyline is one thing, and the art! It’s like a gold wrapped deluxe package made for everyone. The plot is so good, and I’m really digging how we find out more about ghouls as we go along. The protagonist has a foot in both worlds, and that means he is the only one that can possibly bring them together. I’ve seen this trope a bunch of times in novels (Percy Jackson, my own story) and in other comics. I am interested as to how much we’ll learn about ghouls in this manga. Comment: Rize kinda hot (~˘▽˘)~

Review: I’m honestly disgusted by some of these characters just by reading these three chapters. Noah raped Agatho and so did others. I don’t know what the f!ck just happened. Maybe Noah is in some religious cult or whatever, but this isn’t right. I’m not shipping them. I hate how rape is normalized in BL. The victim now has trauma and blames themself when it’s clearly not their fault but the perpetrator. Reading this left a sour taste in my mouth. Side note: Left off on chapter 3.

Review: Classic Stockholm syndrome story. Not as gore-y as people make it out to be, but the story itself isn't that good.
