Top Star’s Talent Library
I find the message of this story interesting, the idea that "hard work and effort doesn't betray oneself." It's contradictory in itself as the MC needed those talent books to even debut. He relies on the talent books in order to excel at whatever he does. Reminds me of Deku from MHA where he couldn’t become a hero no matter how he tried as he was quirkless. Nice to think about. Anyway, this comic is pretty good. You have your healthy dose of idol drama, slice of life, teamwork, etc. Idols doing things idols do. The art isn't fantastic, but it's enough for the story. Hope there isn't any romance or anything, but I'm getting serious FL vibes from Arin. *cough* I've read better manhwa about idols. I feel that the talent library idea has a lot of potential, though.
Don't Be Nice To Me
Wayy better than I expected! One of the healthiest couples I've ever seen in that they communicate and work for their relationship. Really fluffy, and I love how realistic it is. There wasn't any lofty conflict. Just college students getting by with school work and life in general. I really, really liked their dynamic and how the ML wanted to change for the MC. The MC was very relatable. This comic was just such an entertaining read, and I enjoyed the "drama." Anyway, I loved the ending as well. Showed how the leads matured as people (and their love life of course). Felt like a proper ending to a comic that mostly took place in a school/domestic setting!
Tada de wa Dakaremasen
This is primarily an H manga where the MC practically has a harem of girls at her feet. I guess you could kind of call it prostitution? It's lewd, it's consensual, it's a lot of things, but it isn't a very serious work. Almost slice-of-life-y.
Osananajimi ha Syuuchaku Love Monster
Was actually pretty sweet. I didn't expect that ending from this manga. I thought it would be cliché and overdone like others I've read, but I think what really moved me was that confession scene. Yes, I know I say that a lot, but it did! It was so romantic and caring. Well done depiction of a pair of childhood friends that turn into lovers. ^^
Bursting with Youth
A steamy, school life manga. I find the MC's abilities quite interesting as he can only hear the voices in people's hearts, meaning that he cannot hear surface level thoughts. Poses an interesting question on whether what he thinks he's hearing is truly the big picture. Promising. Would want to read more.
High Clear
This is really cute! I like how the two leads are both athletic snd muscle-y. It enhances the vibe you get that they're really just two guys who like each other, awkward in their own ways. The school life setting is a plus. The reader sees how they react in the campus sort of environment and with their friends as well. Funny and romantic~
Plug In
It has really cute school life. Troublemaker with issues x "Top crossdresser" or something like that. So far, the crossdressing incident is what incited it all, meaning that there’s not much of it after that. Two adolescent boys struggling to find the word that describes their pounding hearts. The side characters are pretty funny as well. I'm a fan of Joosung, haha. It's all very funny, has its share of clichés, but I like them. Fluffy. Update: I liked the ML's character development! I didn't expect this to delve into homophobia and the fear of how others view you but it did. I appreciated that. This was very wholesome, but the ending left me a teensy bit unsatisfied. Needed more of them after high school. Overall very cute.
