Imitation Mate

Complete | Makoto Kashiwagi | 2000 released

Review: I started reading this earlier, but I didn’t finish it. I completed reading it this time, and I honestly think it was a good read. The “friends with benefits” trope was really done well. I like the vague and ambiguous ending. The author let the readers decide what the true ending was. The art was splendid, and the storyline was good. Basically, this phrase sums up my experience: Came for the action, stayed for the story. periodt. Update: Upon reading a comment, I discovered that the seme poked a hole in the condom in the extra. I kind of skimmed over that part, and dayum! He emits yandere vibes. oop—

Alpha ga Alpha wo Daku Houhou

Complete | Tokishiba | 2019 released

Review: This was just perfect. They’re both attractive, and I loved the host club kind of idea. It’s so cute, and hilarious at times. I loved how compassionate Ruca was, despite being an alpha. This touched on every little thing I liked and put it in this manga. 10/10 would read again.

Ooh, I liked this! I’ve always been interested in the portrayal of an alpha x alpha relationship because omegaverse (usually) have this setting in which alphas are repulsed by each other’s pheromones. The misunderstanding is the forefront of the story. Despite that, I found the resolution (i.e. the confession) and the overall ending quite sweet. They can still help each other out with their ruts…!

Do You Still Like Me?

Complete | Shiyan,시옌,Siyen | 2019 released

Really good alpha x alpha pairing. The leads are both absolute messes, and I kind of liked that? The art is gorgeous, but I can’t say they really captivated me… I think it’s just my personal tastes talking here. Anyway, this is just very adult and not so much an uplifting read, but it doesn’t have to be. The dark themes are realistic
