Okaeri Aureole
i really love the art style and i thought it was pretty realistic. they really went in on the emotions of the characters and i think thats what made it feel so realistic. would prob read again
By My Side
i remember loving this when i was younger but reading this again its too corny for my liking and the art isn’t great at some parts. i really loved the art style when i was younger tho. also black haired guy got a undercut in the epilogue (icky)
Hatsukoi
dropped only read the first chapter. the concept is cute but the character designs and personalities of the characters are too.. tropey??? very shoujo but not in the fun way i was a little annoyed at it tbh
Anti-Romance
i loved this!! but i really wish we got to see more of suous romantic feelings, because i feel like they didnt really go into them like they did for the glasses guy. like they show him dwelling on their relationship, but not really expressing any romantic feelings (except for that one scene where he stroked glasses guy’s face but that was it and also barely anything. i liked how slow it was.. like it was so suspenseful! it kind of matched the kinda slowburn they had going on for years. also i love the art style. i think it slayed. but maybe i just think that because the way this suthor draws people is attractive. but also i just really like this authors proportions and stuff. also i liked the bartender of the gay bar. you never really see people do much with that character and thus author kind of went somewhere. i kinda want a spinoff of him and the glasses guy’s senior, though i don't think that would happen since the bartenders feelings arent ‘serious’. i really hope the second volume comes out soon!!! or, well, gets translated soon 8/24/24: finally read the rest of the manga!! i really like how flawed suou is, bc it explains the way their relationship was like that for so long and also i just like seeing flawed characters like him. i really like that they went more into suous feelings bc that’s exactly what i wanted!! the thing going on with towada and yuuichi is really interesting, and i like the overall idea of love that never went anywhere, and i like that its not treated as a really depressing thing for the people it didnt work out for. it just shows people can kind of be assholes and things dont always work out. the second volume gets a little corny but that’s forgivable. i also really like the side characters i think theyre fun!! overall a really good manga.
