Honestly, I have no idea how this manga can be so popular. It's full of idle, pedestrian, useless chatter. Boring and long-winded conversations between a multitude of characters, all without purpose. The humor is mirthless, the action has been inconsequential, and the small amount of drama has had no tension. While the story seems to move forward it goes nowhere. Japanese highschoolers may get it, but I don't. I'll admit it could just be me. Still, one hundred+ chapters of quirky characters and no discernible plot, when there is an obvious direction things could move in, is enough for me.....
