I stumbled upon this through the “chubby female lead” tag and was not expecting the story to be like that at all. While it’s not perfect, it does touch upon some really heavy stuff regarding personal love and trauma. I appreciated that the author gave a very real depiction of what genuine depression and self hatred can feel like for a girl that society deems “unattractive”. The ending was expected, however still left me dissatisfied. Ayumi should have ultimately chose no one tbh.
