The length of the main story feels perfect but it leaves so many things untold!! For example we have basically no informations about the origin and the nature of the relationship between Hua Rong’s assistant and Cheung’s brow haired friend. At the same time I would have liked a whole side story about Hong and his band member, Jiwoo: a simple love story concerning showbiz and past traumas but with no rape and mafia. I liked the gory details that were present in the story in both a physical and psychological manner and it made it so the reader could’ve never blamed the victim (uke) and his decisions and desires afterwards. I loved Lu Hao and Mao’s relationship btw... mutual love with conflicting feelings and circumstances. Overall very heart wrenching and dramatic. I would have liked to see the reunion between the two brothers since their “side” plot doesn’t feel wholly fulfilled.
The Director Who Buys Me Dinner
If the ending hadn’t been that rushed I would have ranked this story higher, since it was getting much more interesting in the second half, there’ve been also some moments that made my heart clench. Reincarnation is one of my fav tropes btw ^^
Hide & Seek
I had to repeat to myself that Ray was just a personality to not be jealous for Sooha at the beginning and to not cry for his “death” in the end. They also put his pic in a frame like people use to do with their deceased relatives please
Love on My Terms
I shipped Seungho and Dooyon from the start but wHY LET JOONYOUNG ENTER THE PICTURE, HE WAS SO CARING AND LOVELY AND HOT HE NEEDWD TO BE HAPPY, WHERE THE HECK IS HIS SIDE STORY AAAAAAAH. Maybe I’m the only one lol but I’ve loved Seungho from the beginning (I love psychotic characters and he was kinda scary but also such a CUTIE), so I appreciated even more his change of heart after the probation period. Take care of your mental health babe <3
Two Souls
WHY THE RUSHED ENDING, IT HAD DEVELOPED SOOO GOOD SO FAR☹️ The quote “it was as if he had so much love for the honoured lady he didn’t know what to do with it all” hit me HARD. I equally loved both the Emperor and Suyeong, good plot overall <3 But the Emperor damnnn sO WHIPPEDDD MANNNN
A Thousand Cranes
Very beautiful story! I rate this 4 stars instead of 5 because I feel like I needed more accuracy regarding Dean’s depression.
Goodbye Harlequin
The plot itself was nothing much but the concept behind it was very powerful. Akino found his reason to live in Eichi because he gave him the purpose he needed and the necessary to organise his meaningless life towards the reaching of a goal. Eichi was his saviour and muse at the same time, which is a very romantic trope at my advice. Moreover Akino too became a saviour to Eichi, because the love he received from him helped him to overcome his childhood trauma and gave him a key to read his own existence and finally appreciate his own self not only as a model but first of all as a human being. But still, they both love and at same time “use” each other to leave a mark on the world in their own way. Very interesting!! I don’t rate it with five stars only because some things were kinda confused, like the whole matter about Akino actually spreading the rumour about Eichi and his drama co-star. I didn’t really get it why he did that (I guess he was searching for visibility for his collection? but still, was it really necessary?) and what was part of his “bigger plan”? Maybe he wanted to get Eichi to open up and move on? Who knows, it’s not clear at all :/
Mayday mayday mayday!
