If I had got their backstories and some full scans of Maki’s cock, abs and tiddies, then I would have rated it 5 stars with no hesitation.

Unholy Night

Complete | Gangto,Kie | 2000 released

There are theories in the comments saying that the blonde guy was probably a substitute for the younger brother and I think it kinda makes sense, but I’m not sure about the blonde guy being aware of it or not. He likely chased the uke away because of jealousy, but this jealous might have been caused by both awareness of being his substitute or annoyance due to the important presence of the uke in the seme’s life at that time. I’m pretty certain that the seme had developed deep feelings for the uke in the past, but what makes this story so interesting is that the seme’s feelings are closer to an obsessive brotherly attachment that eventually developed into an equally obsessive romantic and sexual love than actual healthy romantic love. In fact an important difference exists between loving someone and not being able to live without them. I wish it was longer,

Addiction

Complete | jirak,taesung | 2000 released

There are two problematic things with this story; the beginning and the end. I liked how the story developed but at the beginning it really made no sense at all. It wasn’t really shown how the seme developed his feelings towards the uke, to me most of his words sounded like excuses he used to win the uke over since he actually did fall in love with him at some point and didn’t want to lose him because of his sick alpha wolf mind games. The ending between the main couple is perfect but it’s totally unsatisfying for the secondary couple that had SO MUCH potential. The manhwa ended without revealing whether the second uke has feelings towards the second seme or he’s just fucking with him while being in love with the first uke instead. I’d like a spin-off about them.

Like a Tidal Wave - from Pheromone Shower

Complete | Chilyong | 2000 released

To me this manhwa is perfection, it has it all. The plot is really great h va use of the plot twists in it: like… the “idiot” game addicted MC actually turning out being an undercover cop was an unexpected twist and the revelation moment when all those policemen barged in to arrest that shitty man who tried to rape our blondie cutie pie other MC was SO COOL. CAN WE ALSO PLEASE TALK ABOUT HOW THE UKE IS THE BIG-BUILT GUY? AND WE CAN WE ALSO HIGHLIGHT THE FACT THAT THEY FUCKING SWITCH AND FUCK EACH OTHER? I’M LIVING FOR IT!!! Healthy relationship born in odd circumstances. A few misunderstandings but not heavy angst. Supportive side character, and above all… A CUTE LIL BABY IN THE END

Scent of a Witch

Complete | A Reu | 2017 released

I still don’t know if my vote is just and fair or too low for such a particular story. The author managed to escape commonplaces and stereotypes crafting an original story. It was a little bit confusing tho, some scenes were chained to one another through association of ideas, while other links seemed to be completely unrelated. The plot is clear though, but I would have liked some important development on the crowned prince and his physician’s side and on noah himself. Talking about Noah enneagram he’s probably a 6w7, seeking security and fucking around to avoid pain, using his nature as a witch as an excuse to mask his feelings. Even his low self esteem to be born a male is probably an excuse he uses to keep running away in the belief he doesn’t deserve anyone’s love, but he still desires someone to love him unconditionally. And this is where Ryan enters the picture: what about their first encounter? The same scene was shown through all the possible angles and povs but the author didn’t give us the whole picture. Of course the scheme of their meeting is pretty clear: Ryan gets lost, he meets the witches, since he’s a kid they spare him, he gets to know Noah but almost forgets about him since he also forgot about the other witches thanks to a potion. I felt like the whole encounter was labelled as something happening due to “fate”, just like the kid witch’s prophecy about them dying in the castle, which also felt like an irrelevant element used only to make the reader anxious. Overall, amazing plot and characters with not so good development and organising.

I intended to rate it as a four star story, but then I read it again to save some scan (the details of the artwork are LIT!) and realised how the story was particular and uncommon. The author deserves respect and acknowledgement. So here I am with my 5 stars vote!

Tamayura (yuki Ringo)

Complete | yuki ringo | 2013 released

Superb work of art. I loved how the angst was not caused by a third person (like the girls or Matsumoto-san, who didn’t use his friendship with Asakura to his own advantage, but decided to help his beloved and eventually became the main reason of the MCs’ emotional re-encounter): society with its prejudices about homosexuals and its obligations for upper middle men, and the MCs’ own fears and struggles managed alone to ruin the harmony of their relationship. The earthquake was extremely symbolic and represented the (momentary) harmful failure of their relationship, due to Asakura’s inability to convey his feelings to Tachibana and not responding to the “carpe diem”way of life. Another important symbol of the story is definitely the two marbles that Tachibana always carries with him, and they represent the unbreakable link between the two lovers. However, just like their container has to break to take out the marbles, in the same way both Asakura and Tachibana need to sacrifice something to gain the freedom which will eventually lead to the fulfilment of their love. Both MCs cut (and thus “break”) ties with their own families, with an important difference: Tachibana, having loved willingly Asakura for a long time, loses his family in fatal circumstances, while Asakura, who eventually realised his feelings but was mostly unaware and afraid of them, was given by fate the chance to choose between his family and the love of his life. I love the bittersweet ending, even though realising that Tachibana died at only 60 and Asakura survived him made me tear up a little… (coherently to the whole story LMAO). The historical context happens to perfectly translate current prejudices in a kind of world which was not so temporally far from now.

I needed more about Haral and Leo’s love story development :/ still precious that Leo was able to move on and the author managed to perfectly convey the genuineness of his newborn and repressed feelings towards Haral. However, I still wanted to hear an ‘I love you’ from him, as a prize for Haral’s amazing perseverance and determination. THE SLIMES MONSTERS ARE SO CUTE THO I NEED ONE IN MY LIFE.
