Vigilante

Ongoing | CRG,Kyusam Kim | 2000 released

long review ahead okay so i found it around the time we don’t know who imilante was just yet; shelved it for a while then, and by the time regular updates was back (i think uds here slowed a while iirc) i kind of already lost the plot, but i wasn’t willing to drop it cause i had such vicious emotions reading it, so I decided to catch up. can say i appreciate it more, as someone who lives in SEA (whose authority corruption and incompetence would proudly rival any other country) and a casual enjoyer of KPOP, i really like this story and what it invokes in the reader. timely and enjoyable; also, i mentioned being fan of KPOP, cause even as someone who doesn’t care much for sokor out of it, I already know enough of their worst cases to say that the depiction of the corruption and law here is as good as realistic—you need only consider the burning sun scandal and its proprietors, the most high profile suicide cases of idols lately, and the insane double standards between men and women from everyday casual conversation to actual crimes (of which you have women apologizing for vaping and men walking away proudly from drug and mass sexual abuse/harassment cases) and that’s not to delve into the 6B4T but hey. this is just a random mangago comment. Either way!!! Someone mentioned this is gonna get a drama adaptation, and I hope they do it well enough that we get some interesting and useful conversations going. pasting my latest comment here (from 129): played Ego Death starting from 123-125. Steve’s part came just as jeon ho steps in front of Mr. Bang, and GOAT’s outro is perfectly matched to ending of 129 too lol. Would recommend this experience to y’all. update: FINISHED! i want to shake hands w the ones who translated and uploaded this
