Of this authors work this is the most interesting. The female lead still fits the quota that I despise : ditzy bob cut hair with huge eyes and no clue how the world works. HOWEVER, this one actually has some manner of head on her shoulders. Still forcefully pulled into the plot, but she actually expresses opinion every now and again. I appreciate the ML a lot. He's still relatively got the generic face they stick to, but he's a dweeb otherwise who's actually a fun character. I like his backstory and his reason for being in the reporters club, while she has none other then she respected the alumni and wants to write cute articles. Now, do I approve of all the undercover near rape she experiences? No, but that opinion is moot with this author apparently since that's every damn manga. Of all of them though this is my favorite. Take that with a grain of salt and a 3 star that it's CERTAINLY not for everybody, I can't even confidently remark that it's for me, but it's my favorite of their works. Take it or leave it.

Even though I read the whole story and it's quite tender while reading a good story, I couldn't like/remember MOST of the characters. I recall the werewolf family and the friend, and I can't honestly even say the names right now even though I am writing this immediately after finishing it. The rest of the characters really just didn't fit, fell into the background, or were cruel to an extent. I was so excited starting this about how the relationship would grow and change between the main love interests but I really kind of lost interest by about chapter 20 or so, which is a shame since this would typically fall into my favored category.

Now before I harp on the unsettling relationship of these individuals I need to make it clear that this is definitely a rapey feel read that has stockholm scrubbed into the pages. I was hoping that by the 7th chapter, as that's all that is presently available, there would be depth to either of the characters in some manner like family or friends or a past or SOMETHING. Nope- it's just a sex flick of a guy who got cursed(?) with a V. They're both unfaithful liars, they both don't give depth to their being besides having been a bully/bullied trope which doesn't feel redeemable mind you, and that's it. We don't understand the 'love' with the romance lead other then it just happened and it feels more creepy and obsessive then most other obsession play sexy reads. It's tough to side with it besides the fact the art is kinda nice but I wouldn't write home about it. The story, plot, and progression have greatly upset me to the point I'm calling them both stupid and my time wasted since it's just doing nothing for me. There are DEFINITELY people out there who would read this, I just am not one of them. EDIT - Tried to give it another try and then I realized its essentially ending. And wow I feel nothing. Post done.

Absolutely not my taste. I still enjoy the art and general gist of the story but the ML is overly forceful, essentially rapes his stepsister WHILE HE MAKES HER TALK ON THE PHONE WITH HER BOYFRIEND. The sister, reasonably, tries to distance from them and I was happy - a FL that takes charge! And then she caved and everything was patched up and lovey-dovey within like a days time in the manga universe. All in the name of love. She had a boyfriend, she didn't have feelings for her brother, and she protested every single thing he did to push that point. They then bypass her feelings on all those other matters and go "But he's much closer to you than family!! And you're not blood related, sooo-" and I slap the board with the boyfriend and the non-consent rape to which she flips the finger at me and just macks on him. Infuriated.
