Usagi to Neko no Hatsujou Jijou
While it is a one shot I wish it wasn't. Not in the sense I WANTED more but it's incredibly rushed. They do a good job of setting up the scenario and giving it story so you're invested in the characters, which is unlike one shots typically. But this scenario also leads to having less panels to get the message across clearly and with flow. In short, while good, it's also hurting itself by trying to be story driven with a constraint on story telling space.

I don't want to go as far to say I have an issue with the author, but I might? Perhaps this just isn't my kind of read as well, but I try to give all things a chance unless it's ridiculous. That being said I read this entire thing and it was ridiculous. I understand wanting to make a story, wanting to be a broad world, and trying to maintain all these aspects. That said, it didn't do that well. The main girl is just like all the other main girls this author writes : big eyes, short bob hair, a dunce on life despite being of a decent age, and a complete push over. Same goes for the male : chiseled face and body, sleek black/brown hair, possessive S&M complex. Then you have this story of a girl who is fascinated with a butterfly caught in a web and she herself just MAGICALLY finds a flier for a S&M Ship VIP work form on a PUBLIC BENCH that makes her go there. She meets the ML, bondage happens, yadda yadda, she signs on as a pet to get paid, more yadda yadda, then he takes it too far and she leaves him! There is a brief moment of hope! Character development as he feels slight remorse for what he put her through and she actually stands up for the fact that he messed up and did something bad- AND THEY FORGIVE EACH OTHER WITHOUT MENTIONING THE SUBJECT MATTER IN LIKE 5 PANELS OKAY THEY'RE BACK TOGETHER. It's ridiculous. Now they're in Germany trying to get a castle for some reason, idk, I began skimming I was so irate. Then she meets this indeterminate aged kid in the zoo who crushes on her and suddenly she's helping her ML with work with sex and bondage IN FRONT OF THIS KID OF INDETERMINATE AGE. Then she sees him getting all cutesy with another girl, and as they NEVER EVEN GO INTO THAT ISSUE SHE STILL HELPS HIM BY ESSENTIALLY HAVING PRETTY SEX IN FRONT OF AN ENTIRE CROWD OF PEOPLE. I'm fucking done fam.
