The romance is so sudden, almost as sudden as the 'fuck buddies' switch that really got triggered out of friggin' nowhere. Worst downside is it's really rushed for it being presumably five chapters and we don't even have the other two chapters available after all these years. As such I can only give it an ok two stars in consideration of the fact that if you get excited for what comes next you'll be sorely disappointed.

It's super fucked up and I legit wasn't expecting it. I'm relieved I didn't read the tags because I would NOT have read this typically. It's super psychological and involves rape so if either of those are instant red flags don't touch this one because it's practically the basis of this one shot.

Heads up, this is a toxic psychological nightmare of smut, non-con and gore. DO NOT READ THIS AS A LIGHT ROMP. P.S - The guy who transforms? HE DESERVES THE FUCKING WORLD. EASILY THE BEST CHARACTER. That being said, considering that's not the genre I'm usually interested in this is FASCINATING. Mind you I'd like this even more if it did turn into a romance thing but the fact is that's highly unlikely as it is a adaptation of a novel. The MC is forced to inhabit with powerful insane beings who don't even treat him as a human being while he tries to maintain his sanity and his morals. I find it all darkly wondrous. Not in the "I wish that were me" but more so "What a plot! Glad it's just a story!"
