Don't judge a book by it's cover, or in this case, by it's name! Risouteki Boyfriend is definitely not some story about finding an Ideal boyfriend - the kind that makes you weak in the knees, the heart-throb, sexy types. Instead you'll find Kaede, a poker-face guy, stranger to the concept of romantic love. Yusa is a hopeless romantic, fantasizing a shoujo-manga-like lover/love-life but when cruel reality hits her and shatters her dreams, Kaede is the only one she can turn to for help! This is the start to their budding relationship. I love Kaede. He's just pure, genuine pleasure to the heart. I think his kindness must have induced Yusa to fall for him, though i totally understand her ;) Most of the time, Love happens unexpectedly and does not take your types into account. It is not finding your ideal types but finding the ideal person for your heart and to share all your feelings, ups and downs and so on. AND developing yourself along the way!! We'll definitely see development in Kaede, but what i'm eager for is Yusa's development. And the changes their relationship will go through. I recommend it to every romance lover. It's a good read.

Smut is absolutely yummy! He was absolutely creepy and disgustingly controlling in the first few chapters but after finding out his reason, somehow the story got a cuter edge, that's it. Also, monogamy rocks! Her feelings are exactly the same as mine. How can you see your loved one with someone other than you? I find the institution of "harem" completely disgusting, horrible and morally wrong. I mean why did they need hundreds of concubines (only a few are favored, so having tens of them should be sufficient), and fifty to hundred children when only one of them will inherit the throne? What kind of logic is that? Not all are considered as spares! So what then? Lambs to slaughter for the crown? Your own offsprings? Can a human being be any more cruel than that? Also, coming back to harem, no matter the physical prowess of the ruler, at the end, how much can one dick do? Can't do even 2 at the same time, forget about the hundreds lol (a woman having more men makes sense because it really works tbh). Nympho or not, there's a limit, and as one ages, the physical capabilities decline. So no matter how much of a hunk one was in his prime, he'll just become a disgusting old geezer in later years (just like how the annoying bitch treats the previous Sultan). So much for royal megalomania! A funny thing about monogamy is that many find it difficult handling just one partner (commitment is sweet but equally very exhausting bcos relationships consume a lot of time and energy), not to mention the single population (finding a partner is definitely not easy), so I salute the ppl in polygamous relationships, if they overcome these hardships, they must be superhumans indeed!

Wanted an impactful retribution for the villain, but satisfied with the happy end >_<
