Mousou Shoujo Otakukei
I loved it. It had a real and interesting plot. The humor was top drawer (I laughed out loud a lot while reading it). The characters were extremely well-drawn and could be identified with. The story itself was very consistent and well put together. A real favorite.
The British Billionaire's Innocent Bride
I enjoyed it. The only gripe I have with the ML is his lack of discrimination in choosing his friends. The story would have been perfect for me with an ending of Oliver flying out a second story window and having the hounds sicked on him.
Expecting His Secret Heir
I enjoyed it, although he was mighty young to be a colonel, and colonels don't lead squad size units in combat. Also, his uniform in the beginning was a navy officer's uniform (navy doesn't have colonels), and he was wearing Naval Flight Officer wings on his chest. Aside from that (a major howler for a retired jarhead like me), it was a nice story with good people (barring the scumbag half brother, of course).
The Last Groom On Earth
I really enjoyed this one. The characters were fun and funny, and there wasn't any of the typical mind-boggling, convoluted drama that makes so many of these stories downright ludicrous. I would have enjoyed more character development of Kelley. She had a lot of possibilities.
One Night in Emergency
I really liked it. The FL was a good, dedicated professional and the ML was masculine without being an arrogant prick or having enough hangups to keep a team of psychiatrists busy. Decent and well-written story.
Ao no Hako
The Redemption of Darius Sterne The Twin Tycoons I
This one rocked! Loved her and he was hilarious. Two thumbs up definitely.
A Wife on Paper
That was a departure, plot-wise, from most of the Harlequin tropes. No one was made out to be a villain, and the characters and their actions and reactions were feasible and believable. The plot was a little convoluted, but it made psychological sense. I'd say it was well-written, with real characters and not stereotypes.
Ordinary Girl, Society Groom
Nice story. I think I liked "the transformation of Belinda" even more than the main plot. That was done extremely well and believably (epiphanies in HQ are usually stilted and highly unlikely). ML got a little stupid toward the end and should have been smacked upside the head a few times for good measure, but he wasn't a scumbag like so many "irresistible" Harlequin MLs.
