He was so close to being a rapist that the difference wasn't noticeable. I didn't actually count how many times she said no while he was assaulting her, but it left me with the impression that: (1) He had absolutely no self- control over his sexual urges, and (2) He should spend some time in jail and have his nasty ass on a sex offender registry. A thoroughly unpleasant person.

FL was victimized by everyone in her life except for the ML's daughter, who was the only person other than the FL worth a damn in the story.

Another God-Awful Jarrod story. I stand by my earlier contention that Daddy J raised all his sons to be total dickweeds.

ML is filth. His former MIL is filth. FL is a victim.

Dude needed therapy... Lots of it and anti-idiot medication. FL also needed therapy, and her step mother should have met truck-kun.

ML was sure suckered by his loving Daddy. I could have understood that, but when he needed to have revenge on the FL for his new bride's betrayal by degrading her like she was a prostitute and he was a really disgusting misogynist bastard, I lost any sympathy or empathy, and could only regard him as a disgusting pig.

Story was okay, but I really wanted to kick the crap out of the sarcastic ML. He came across, for most of the story, as a guy who wanted her money and only wanted her as an outlet for his horniness. He couldn't even be remotely considerate. What a Grade A a**hole.

Hmph! From devious, manipulating, greedy scumbag to lover of the ages... Sorry, but I don't think that is very likely to happen. He was just waaaay to convincing when he put on his "true hearted lover" act in the beginning. You can't just do that out of a clear sky, it has to be practiced and it has psychopath written all over it. These authors need to study a little psychology to make epiphanies believable and feasible. Lavrentiy Beriya morphing into St Francis of Assisi just isn't possible.

Wow... If he was anymore of a scumbag he could be in the Guinness Book of World Records! Oh yes, and she was underage when he was busily impregnating her and kicking her to the curb. He should be in jail with a cell mate who was convicted of strangling his little sister's abusive boyfriend.
