Well, with the exception of her father and little sister, her family sucked. Her father’s wife was from Mars, and the ML was more dense than enriched uranium.

Well... He improved somewhat, but he was still a supercilious, controlling, chauvinistic a**hole from the word go. The only way he looked good was when he was compared to his S&*t-for-brains, ill-mannered misogynist of a brother.

Loved her, but every other character in the story can die in a ditch.

Sorry, but his grief over his late wife doesn't make it alright for him to be a complete asshole to a very young woman that he shouldn't have been seducing in the first place. And what in the world is this trope (I see it in real life, too, although I can't bend my little brain around it) that when a man loses the love of his life through her death, he immediately has to get laid. It certainly doesn't say much for either the depth of his love or his moral fiber.

Sorry to those who think this was romantic, but my opinion is that his grace was merely a selfish cad.

What a POS! He deceives a young girl (his “I never said I loved you” was about the cheapest rationalization he could come up with) and when she’s devastated, he takes the moral high ground and treats her like trash because “she’s just a spoiled girl.” He’s the one who’s deceiving and using her, to the point of taking her virginity, yet he’s the noble good guy and she’s the evil selfish one. He should get drunk and fall in a cesspool along with his senile scumbag grandfather and drown alongside the rest of the human excrement.

Pretty dorky characters. She was way too naive to notice that the ML was so practiced while meeting a girl for the first time that he could only be a complete playboy. Naturally, she easily forgave him for saying really unforgivable things. Also, the only way that the ML could find out the will was invalid after the lawyer had already run it through probate is if he was really looking to invalidate it. Plot and characters were full of enough holes to make Swiss cheese jealous.

First story: I want revenge on my father who destroyed my mother's life, so I'll buy into his filthy methods and destroy small businesses until I can take over his company and kick him out into the cold. Sorry, but this sounds like the person who would murder women and small children in order to get close to a dictator like Sadaam Hussein for the purpose of assassinating him. Really hard to tell the good guys from the bad guys. Second story: Typical Betty Neels - communicate you flaming morons. And the other chick needed more therapy and medication than the doctor had on hand.

An okay story, but the character of the ML: stubborn as a mule, ignorant, absolutely certain that he knows best, pushy as hell, wannabe authoritarian, is the kind of thing that would make any sane person go postal. People like him could be used as a poster boy for Comintern showing why capitalism should be abolished.
