The Dark Side of Desire
Amazing! It’s written by Michelle Reid and it’s chock full of toxic scumbags. The ML suffered somewhat, I suppose, but nevertheless my opinion of him is probably not fit for print. Let’s just say that he was abysmally stupid and naïve as well as being a total schmuck. He finds out that she was lied to, abandoned, threatened, and treated like crap, so he immediately manipulates her into situations where she has no choice but to do his bidding. NOT very savory conduct.
Bought By The Greek Tycoon
What a pig! Blackmails her into marriage, DEMANDS that she forget her late husband (a trope I really despise), and flies into a rage and stomps off announcing he's going to be with his secretary (who's also his ex) until they can divorce in three years. A marriage with him would be toxic as hell and his wife would have to walk on eggshells for the rest of her life. Not even Yukako Midori could make him into a remotely sympathetic character.

Well, they sure had to make him into a complete idiot to keep the plot moving. Evil women always set themselves up to nearly die to make their stories more believable. Must be nice to be that credulous of an idiot. Saves all the worry of thinking critically. Child or no child, after he destroyed her reputation publicly and in the media, she should have told him to shove it. “He seduced me, impregnated me, abandoned me, and branded me a whore in public, but I still love him unconditionally.” Does the author really think women are this stupid and subservient?
