Read about half. The douchebag should have been drowned at birth. Irredeemable is the best adjective I can come up with for him.

The story was worse than the art, which definitely took some doing.

The author makes this scumbag completely unforgivable and irredeemable and then "redeems" him and the woman he tortured and kicked to the curb falls back in love with him. Sorry, Charlie, but the only way that's going to happen is if she got a prefrontal lobotomy after the accident and the scalpel slipped and removed all of her brain. YOU DON'T TREAT SOMEONE YOU LOVE LIKE THAT!!! IF YOU DO, YOU DON'T LOVE THEM!

Like the rest of the series, it REALLY, REALLY SUCKED! Oh, wait a minute: It's written by Michelle Reid - it couldn't do anything but suck!

Happy ending my ass! The only way that could be a happy ending is if the ML accidentally fell into an industrial grade sausage maker and was turned into bratwurst (pun intended).

Wow! What an unlikeable, supercilious a**hole. As a husband, he was a complete dud. In fact, as a man, he was a complete dud. I'm the horniest man in the world, but I promised your uncle I'd only have sex with you and not sleep with you. I can say with complete conviction that that's about the biggest crock of s&^t I've come across in quite a while. Does the acronym POS ring a bell?

Aaaand... Lynne Graham does it again. How much of an unforgivable pile of psychopathic filth can she make the ML before turning him into a stellar lover and human being? Get revenge on someone by blackmailing his totally innocent daughter into prostitution. How different is that from straight-out rape? Maybe it's more satisfying to the psychopath because he can enjoy gloating over deflowering her (which he certainly did). And don't even get me started on the father, who was overjoyed to have his daughter save him from deserved prosecution by prostituting herself. He and the ML should die of untreated syphilis in a ditch, screaming in pain as their minds slowly disintegrate. And, for the grand finale, ML forgives the toxic pile of excreta who destroyed his mother and pays his debts. I guess he realized that they're cut from the same cloth.

After the scum in her life, it’s a wonder that she could care for anyone. His big boohoo for eternity was that Mommy left him with a kindly loving father and adored little sister. Her trauma was that she was forced to work while still a child and beaten and robbed by her sadistic brother. Who really had it bad? The helpless and abused girl or the rich, hate-filled revenge monger who treated a pregnant woman so horribly that she miscarried? I understand this is part of a series called "Innocent Wives." The series should be called "Misogynist Turds Torture Innocent Victims."
