On pg 39, the ML is asking why the Palace of Fine Arts is in LA (it's actually in San Francisco). Aside from that, it is a favourite subject of photographers. I have a photo of it that my uncle took many years ago when he was taking classes from the California College of the Arts in Oakland, for which he won an award.

Well...I have to say that I enjoyed it. As someone who once avidly studied the Regency, it was a bit over the top, as far as history goes, but it was a fun read, and the main characters were quite decent.

I very much enjoyed this story. I guess I’m a sucker for people who stand up to stupid snobbery and prejudice.

Some silly misunderstandings that were wrapped up nicely, a believable change of perspective and character in the ML, basically decent people overall, and a good lesson in tolerance. I do love the Bohemian air in this story. I really miss the enthusiastic musicians, writers, and artists from my youth. They may not have been Beethoven, Goethe, or Matisse, but their passion and drive were both infectious and unique.

What a romantic story should be! And Toda Megumi's artwork to top it off.

Really sweet story. I liked it. Little Maria was totally adorable.

I enjoyed it. ML was a bit pushy. He would have scared off most of the women I know, who don't like to commit to eternity within five minutes of knowing a guy.

I have to wonder how the children and grandchildren are such decent people when Daddy Dearest is a total POS. I loved the FL and her dog, and the kids were great, too.

ML was a really good guy, and not the dog-eat-dog type many Hollywood types are. The FL was as cute as a button. Her ex was a total douchebag and should be typecast as a character like Spider from the movie Goodfellas or Ned Beatty's character from Deliverance. As always, the father should fall over and turn blue.

Amazing! A Sarah Morgan HQ that DOESN'T have a testosterone-ridden misogynist for an ML. I'm shocked and pleased. And he even had brains and patience. I loved the fact that there was none of this "revenge for hurt pride" crap that authors seem so fond of. I also loved the character of the ML's mother. She rocked!
