He wasn't horrible, but he was definitely too damn pushy. I really felt for the FL, being raised by a complete a**hole father who hated her, and having a brother who had all the empathy of a hungry wolverine. And what planet are all these males from who believe that an attractive woman is automatically a slut? The more of these Harlequins I read, the more I want to form a feminist ninja brigade to search out and destroy alpha- holes for the betterment of humanity.

ML was just a bit too peremptory and randy to be a sympathetic character. He also switched moods at the cyclic rate, which would drive anyone insane. Also, I don’t really understand the laws, if any, concerning Italian nobility and whether such property is entailed, but I’m pretty sure that even the former duke or prince couldn’t pass his title to his stepson and bypass his own heir. His palazzo could possibly be left to said stepchild instead of the lineal heir. Whatever the law, Daddy Dearest was as stupid as they come and a rotten parent to boot.

It was an okay story, but my God, he was pushy.
