I liked the story, but Crikey he was full of himself. She's obviously upset and scared of something, and within minutes of meeting her, he wants to know every secret she's ever had and keeps on and on pressing her. Then when he does find out (and it's nothing disgusting or shameful) he pouts like a little boy over the fact that she didn't tell him. SINCE WHEN WAS IT ANY OF HIS G*% D#$N BUSINESS??? As I've noted before, the vast majority of Harlequin MLs think that manners are for untermenschen and not for them.

Let’s hope his epiphany is permanent. Otherwise she’ll need a GBH (great big hammer) to use on him when he gets a stupid idea stuck in his head.

I enjoyed it. It had drama that wasn't over the top and the plot wasn't an HQ trope staple. As to the art, the dude looked so much like Lurch that I thought it was another Dante story (the ones with the hot flash attraction instead of red string of fate).

Good job Ms. Brooks. I enjoyed it a lot.

I liked the story, but there was no reason in the world for them to be so secretive. It only lead to misunderstandings, conflict, and deception. I also got rather annoyed at the ML for equating his "trauma" of having been used by a manipulative woman to hers of being married to a crooked psychopath who basically killed her daughter while doing his best to destroy his wife. It's kind of like comparing angst over a scratch on your Corvette to someone watching their family murdered before their eyes. He was why I couldn't give it five stars.

Amazing! It was by Julia James and I didn't want to execute the ML. Will wonders never cease.

I enjoyed it. He was kind of butthurt over not knowing her past (which wasn't at all shameful), but he realized he was being an ass and apologized. A lot better than most of the "hurt pride" Harlequin MLs, who never forgive a slight, no matter how insignificant or unintentional it was.

That was good. I would, however, put the boot to the insensitive jerks who made her wear a too-small dress. I also hope that his mother and her filthy husband ended up destitute and hopeless.

I liked it. The characters were pretty fleshed out instead of being the 2D cardboard cutouts so many of these HQ stories have. The story was pretty good also.

As usual, Ms Sala writes a great yarn, with really good characters. I really love how her male characters can be as manly as all get out, without their testosterone making them into stupid, misogynistic alpha-holes. Go Sharon!
