What a set of filthy excuses for humans. The ML was nothing but a blackmailing, misogynistic sexual assaulter, who was deliberately targeting the little girls to take revenge on their mother. Except for the little girls, I didn't see a redeeming thing about any of them, and even they fell into the ML's trap of turning them against their mother.

“Slice of life?” If that was my life, I’d join a cloistered monastery and wear a hair shirt for the rest of my life.

Her family sucked and the ML sucked. The unfortunate FL was caught between them. They should all try to race a landing 747 across a runway on foot and leave her all their money in their wills so she can retire to Tahiti and enjoy life for a change.

Was there a character aside from the FL (who was an idiot, but not scum) that didn't deserve to be run over by a porta-john cleaning truck? I certainly didn't see one anywhere in the story. And Ms. Reid does it again, creating a Southern European male character who has all the moral fiber and charm of Heinrich Himmler. Sick!

More like "Illicit Night with the Kidnaping Rapist." A family of toxic assholes. Her crapulous father fit in really nicely with them.
