The Texan's Royal M.D.
I liked the story. It was nice, and aside from the smug and pushy consultant, they were all nice people. They sure did fall into the rack fast, though. Kind of like, "Hi. I'm here to take you to dinner on our first date. Now take off your clothes."
As Good As Gold
Any human who sells his sister (or indeed, any woman or other man) is irredeemable, and using someone as collateral for gambling debts IS selling them. He should be kicked to the curb and left to starve in a ditch. I don't care how stupid and naive he is, what he did comes under the category of unforgivable. The crooked, filthy saloon/brothel keeper should be hanged from the nearest tree, as well. Someone turning an inexperienced and terrified girl over to men as a sexual commodity is a class of person that is breathing air that could nourish a colony of slime mold, which is several rungs higher on the moral ladder than he is. The blatant misogyny of the setting of this story really got under my skin.
Convenient Bride for the King
I enjoyed it. The plot was interesting, although it left a big unanswered question at the end. The characters were good, and we didn't have to meet the cad ex-fiance.
The 200% Wife
The FL really does overthink things. I know exactly where she's coming from, as I was in the same position a number of times in 22 years in the military, where one's boss changes every one to four years, average about two years. The quality bosses, I got along really well with, and we were incredibly productive. The ones concerned with their own image hated my guts from the day we met. I could tell within five minutes if the next two or so years were going to be pleasant and productive or a constant pain in the neck. Being a naive sort of individual, I still feel that productivity and teamwork are the key to success, but there will always be supervisors of the sort who view success as their own personal image and to hell with the corporate objective and mission. They are also invariably the ones who glom all the credit for their subordinate's work and immediately find scapegoats for their own shortcomings.
The Earl's Runaway Governess
The Children's Doctor's Special Proposal
It was a nice story. I totally fell in love with the FL. She helped him overcome his early trauma, and they were a nice couple. Decent, not contrived, redemption.
Married In Haste
The Taming Of Xander Sterne - Twin Tycoons II
I liked it a lot. It was as good as the other story in the series and the main characters were people I could root for, not vulgar horndogs and complete idiots.
The Sheikh's Convenient Princess
A quite nice story. Letting the power hungry, would-be murderer go, however, isn't something that I could ever agree to.
