It almost seems that the author could not have made him more of an a**hole if she tried. What a prick.

I read about 20 pages and it turns out to be another “revenge against the innocent and totally vulnerable woman for the crimes her family committed” story. That plot sucked when it was first written and it seems to get progressively worse as it gets used again and again. Another lousy vehicle for redeeming an irredeemable asshole.
