Bukiyo Na Bokura No Sukima
Okay this was actually super cute and interesting. Finding out that they BOTH thought they had unrequited feelings for the other, and the pretty boy's habit of stealing his crushes girlfriends was all just a twisted attempt to feel closer to him. The only thing I DON'T like is the argument over who tops. They could just *not* have sex that way, but that's not 'real' sex in most bl manga. I guess it's fine, because he ends up liking being 'spoiled' in the end, so it's a minor nitpick that keeps it from 4* imo. The last ex-gf stuck with them both as friends now is a funny detail.
Kanata Kara
Well that was really sweet! I wondered how and why it was so important to mention that Noriko's father was a novelist - and it all circled back around in the end. The whole thing was Noriko's diary, so the unique aspect of her internal monologue summarizing events as they traveled made perfect sense. The ending was a little corny and simplistic, but it was what the whole story had been building to, in a way. A little disappointed Izark didn't have a "good" sky demon transformation, but I guess that would've been counter to the whole "evil transforms you into a monster" theme. I'm glad for the epilogue! Also a little cheesy, but the open ended foreshadowing that one day Noriko and Izark might/will be able to visit Japan together is extra sweet.
Aioi Focus
Excellent art, gap moe delinquent bottom, but so short!! Not much depth to either story, pretty much all fluff. Not bad, just simple.
Orikou Yaju Niwa Aragaenai
Short and pretty simple. Two couples, all friends. The making friends part is cute! Also pretty nonchalant about friends to lovers.
Himono, Tokodoki, Shanairen'ai
1-4 is a fun ossan/younger coworker romance. Short and simple, not as good as Cupcake, but good as it is! 5 is a college student/sensei romance (meh).
Megane wa Ai no Ichibu desu.
Four romance comedy gags, which is fine but not really my thing. A little supernatural twist in 2 of them.
Omae no Yubi de Toroketara
Okay that was cute. Photographers saying "I love you" with a picture instead of words is a massive flavor win.
Ameagari no Bokura ni Tsuite
This was sweet! The relationship is so soft and fluffy and the extras really carry it in terms of being grounded in the reality of being a gay couple. I really like that Mashiro pushes for thr couples parfait AND that they're allowed to order it.
